Christa Rose styled this intimate tropical wedding shoot for the beach-loving couple with sophisticated taste and a modern edge. An amazing team of talented Orange County vendors helped to bring this vision to life. Breaking away from the typical brightly colored, orchid adorned tropical wedding, Christa Rose modernized by using bold banana leaf printed fabric and gold accents on the low dining table. Using the banana palm print as her inspiration, Luminous Lines created a modern invitation suite and menu cards. In keeping with the natural botanical feel, she used gold calligraphy on a small leaf as the place cards for the table. Nestled up against the natural bamboo, agave and other CA native plants, floor pillows wrapped the low-set table in the sand. Christa Rose worked with Petal and Joy to create luscious green and white florals, as not to compete with the bold printed table cloth or the natural surroundings. Air plants were used to mimic the color and look of the giant agave. A single giant air plant acted as the cake topper for the naked cake, created by Nicci Julian, while mini air plants sat atop each menu on the place settings. A large air plant was the statement pieces in the bride's bouquet, complementing the mini air plant that was used in the groom's boutonniere. Megan Jeanne Photography beautifully captured the shoot and our lovely bride, Madison Chappell. Beauty and the Beach did an amazing job with hair and makeup. Petal and Stone graciously lent us the bride's jewelry and hair accessories for this shoot, while Kari Bradberry was our fashion stylist.
